I have been using this smartphone for over 4 years now and I have had no issues regarding my experience till now except the charging speed and the crumbling quality of its camera. I have read in a handful of articles that a Custom ROM might solve the issue and I also want to upgrade the OS, so I started researching and now I am here asking for help cz I do not know how kernels work or anything about Android firmware development.
So, if I need to upgrade my OS do I need to root it...
